aMap moves on (slowly)

So things are starting to get exciting again with my aMap project. Things had slowed down due to me being away in the US + then having a bit of a barcode trauma, however since my return I've been stepping things up.

The latest edition to the aMap publishing empire is the interactive aMap widget that the nice people at Thought Den have been helping me build. So far they've built a prototype that's looking pretty darn cool.

I've also managed to finally sort out the barcode issues + have now submitted these to Ollie to get them 100% finished + laid up + sent to the printers.

I'm now planning a full launch in January (rather than December) due to these last few issues taking time. Although this means I'll miss the Christmas trade I think it's a much wiser move - as I think people would have other interests in the run up to Christmas than aMap . . .

More to come soon!

Scream if you wanna get on TV

I've just come back from the election celebrations outside the Whitehouse which were absolutely crazy - a kinda mix between a Take That concert - crowds of adoring fans screaming uncontrollably - and a football match - with choruses of chants.

The chants and screams seemed largely dictated by the presence of TV cameras. Every time a camera light was switched on the baying crowds erupted on cue with either "Yes we did", "U - S - A" or "Get the f*ck out".

To borrow a cliche the atmosphere really was electric - and given that 90% of thousands of people gathered were under 20, it was clear why Obama won - having successfully mobilised the youth vote.
