My week in photos

Another super busy and eventful week has passed. Exciting stuff to happen last week includes snow in London (photo from my kitchen window on Wednesday am), going to see Wycombe Wanderers lose to Chelsea 4-0 (photo taken from the Shed End at Stamford Bridge), and winning a contract with EasyJet.
Bad stuff to happen this week includes (mainly) me getting super ill with flu. This has meant I've fallen behind writing my blog and having stack loads of work mounting - as well as a whole mountain of sock packaging mounting in my hallway . . .
BIG APOLOGIES to all those who are waiting for their socks - these will come early next week. snivel snivel snivel . . .

Come on the Wanderers!

Wednesday night was a v.exciting night for some - mainly those who come from the Berkshire / Buckingshire area, as Wickham Wanderers took on the mighty Chelsea, and drew!
The above photo shows no.1 Wanderers fan Catherine glued to Radio 5 Live's commentary of the match . . . whilst I was cooking up a super Puet Puet casserole. Shouldn't it be the other way round?????

Project Gooooooooood

This guy has some great insight into web 2.0 - check it our here. He runs a new media agency called Social Roots in the US, seemingly essentially set up to empower bedroom content studios (or something similar). This is v.similar to our new ad network project "Project Good", which I mentioned a couple of weeks back - it also shares a name with my brand participation blog RubberRoots, that I collaborated with my dutch friend Raul with - 12 months back. It's nice to see we were ahead of the curve as ever . . .

Project Good's moving along nicely. On Monday I met with Andy in Bristol to sort out the media sales aspect of the project. This should be sorted in the next couple of weeks. We'll then be sorting out our "fun-broker" service, which will form its backbone. All super exciting - but super tiring, as on top of developing this new service, I'm pitching like a bastard on a whole range of new campaigns for Rubber Republic. Oooooh laaaaa. Still, it beats being bored.

Above is a photo of the uber-plan for Project Good - charted out on a white-board in our Bristol office . Hopefully it's too out of focus for any cunning media industrial espinage to take place . . .

Super soap

Whilst in Portugal back in November I discovered what I thought was the best soap in the world - Claus, made in Porto and with most amazing old school 20's style packaging. Unfortunately, my beloved bar of soap was stolen after I left our hire-car open over night in Lisbon . . .
Thinking the only way I'd be re-united with soap nirvana was to to go back to Portugal (an expensive trip just for a bar of soap), I was bowled over when I spotted Claus being sold on the Kings Road. Oh joy. So I bought some. Hurrah!
I also googled Claus to find out that you can buy Claus shower gel - buy it here. This got me thinking that maybe I should start offering Claus as part of my new forSir.com offering. Thoughts welcome . . .

Old age

This photo was taken by Matt - a fellow Team Rubber director - on his way home yesterday. A genius portrait of old age done properly!

Happy new year!

I've been a bit slack over the last couple of weeks posting stuff - mainly due to the fact that I spent x-mas with my sis and family in Luxembourg. So to make up for this slackness, I've posted a pic of Luxembourg Cathedral at 2.30 am on x-mas day . . . taken at the end of a midnight mass-athon involving mass given in 3 languages at the same time (Luxembourgish, French, German) - not for the feint hearted!

Broken doooon

The all new super blogger programme seems to be broken - which is super annoying, as I want to upload some photos . . . grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
