Buff Hoon

Yesterday was another eventful day. Lunch was spent at the European Parliament offices down by St. James Park. Geoff / Buff Hoon, the now Europe Minister (photo above), was the guest of honour at the launch event of a new European Parliament project aimed at educating young people about how Europe works. The sarnies were darn good, and the company was pretty good too.

My afternoon was spent meeting part of the PLC who are courting us at the mo. We chatted about synergies etc. which was all v.interesting. I of course enthused about our new aMap product (from Delib) - which I don't know whether impressed them or baffled them. Overall they seem like a nice bunch.

After some catching up at the office, in the evening I nipped off for a quick pint at the Phoenix to catch up with Al and Sooos before they leave of their trip around the world. Al had some interesting insights to give re: the approach from an equity investment perspective + Sooos seemed more concerned about what she was going to pack for her big trip!
